Shakira M. Taylor BS, JD, L.L.M, is an immigration attorney with more than ten years of legal experience. She earned her law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and an L.L.M in Transactional Law from Emory University School of Law. Her career has focused on serving vulnerable immigrant populations through organizations including ProBar, USCRI, Refugee Services of Texas, and RAICES. She has represented unaccompanied children, families placed in the Migration Protection Protocol (MPP), refugees, asylum seeker, and Afghan evacuees in a wide range of immigration matters, including asylum, Special Immigrant Visas (SIVs), family petitions, Adjustment of Status, and removal proceeding. Currently, Ms. Taylor serves as a Staff Attorney with RAICES, where she advocates for immigrants and refugees seeking legal protection and stability in the Unites States.
